We use professional tools to remove stains, plaque and tartar build-up on your teeth, a job that cannot be successfully done with a conventional tooth brush.
If you are diagnosed with any periodontal problems, we may recommend that you return for a follow-up cleaning or a deep cleaning, during which heavy tartar build up is removed from the root surfaces of the teeth (below the gum line). We may also suggest the placement of Arestin, an antibiotic treatment used to kill bacteria in areas of inflamed tissue. .During your hygiene appointment, our hygienists will give you oral health instructions to help you maintain a clean mouth in between office visits. Visiting our office for a cleaning twice per year will help ensure a healthy mouth. Patients with any periodontal concerns are encouraged to return every 3-4 months for a professional cleaning.
