With the use of digital xrays, intraoral cameras, and digital scanning, patient care has become more comfortable, educational, and efficient. Digital x-rays expose patients to far less radiation and can be reviewed immediately. Intraoral cameras give patients a snapshot of their smiles and demonstrate if there are any areas of concern.
Our latest addition to the practice is the 3M True Definition Scanner. Using this scanner allows us to create a virtual, computer generated replica of the hard and soft tissues in the mouth. In a matter of seconds, we can scan your tooth and capture a clear and accurate 3D image without the need for traditional impression materials. This digital information is then used to fabricate dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays. SDA is bringing modern technology to Westchester for the benefit of our patients and their families.
